Daily Log 001

I think to keep myself from going inactive, I'm going to attempt to write a sort of daily log, even if it's just something small and not necessarily fandom related! I'll be tagging these as "daily log" - I'm uncertain if there is a black-list option for tags on DW (let me know if there is, please!), but I'll be placing a cut on these entries as well, so hopefully they won't take up to much room on anyone's reading page, if they're not interested in just my daily rambling.
I've had a hectic day and it's still going, I'm working on a lot of projects at the moment. I have an art piece I need to complete by the 30th for a zine and I have to send a check in of it to the zine discord to-day, so I've been working on that.
I've also done some world building for my cyberpunk novel and started basic outlining the Mycroft pastiche, so that's exciting. I was definitely supposed to be writing the cyberpunk novel for NANOWRIMO, so a little disappointed in myself for still being in the world building phase, but to be fair for myself it's a really long novel and world building is critical to the cyberpunk genre, so it's fine if it's taking longer than I wanted. Better to take my time and write something decent as opposed to writing something that's clearly rushed.
I also got my new violin in the mail yesterday, which is exciting, I still have to rosin the bow though, I've been putting it off , because it's a new bow with new hair so it'll take an age and a half to get enough rosin on it. I also got my vintage tweed coat in the mail, it fits me (which is always a concern when buying vintage clothes online) but I need to launder it ASAP it has that 'I've been sitting in someone's grand-dad's attic for two decades' smell. Luckily my washer has a wool/hand-wash setting, so ashing vintage clothing isn't nearly as hard as it was back when I had actually wash them by hand, though I still advice actual hand-washing for vintage clothing that's pre-40s or looks fragile, this is a real sturdy looking tweed coat though, so I'm sure it'll be fine in the wash!
