Finally got around to putting the Rosin on my bow and it's as I feared, the hair has gone slack and is in need of replacing, It'll have to wait until a much later date when I have money I can spend. I just finished off the rest of my disposable income this morning getting x-mas gifts for my roommates.
I got Ana a Moomin cookbook, Bryan is going to receive some cute wooden frog instruments, and for Kate I'm embroidering her favorite bird and framing that - also got her a crow call whistle, I have to encourage her abilities to befriend the neighborhood birds.
I've started writing what is essential a textbook on queer culture and politics in late Victorian England, simply because I couldn't find one recourse that could properly compile all the information I use and need on hand when writing historical fiction. So far I've plans for a chapter on the origins of queer studies, Polari (as well as a handy dictionary for it), the surrounding law and politics, a timeline of all the recorded executions of queer men, a chapter on "female" husbands, and a lot more. I aim to just make the most comprehensive collection of queer history from the time as I can.
To be honest, it's been a hard week, I'm not good around this holiday, but I'll make it out alive, I'm sure. It helps that I'll be with my roommates and not my family.
(Kate has just set off the fire alarm in the kitchen, oh dear.)
I need to set up a doctors appointment soon as well as get my eyeglass prescription updated. I missed my last visit to the clinic because I just couldn't stand the thought of leaving my room that day, but I have a lot of work that I need to do at the clinic both for SSI and just for my health, I suppose.
(Oh dear, Kate is complaining in the kitchen that none of us are selfish enough to ever eat or drink the last of something and thus it goes bad ;;_;; Which is rather true, I think the egg-nog has just been thrown out because everyone was worried someone else wanted the last of it. Kate has informed the household that we should consider being more self-invested.)
I've also been thinking about starting an outline for some LoTR fic? I already have a impossible amount of projects that I'm working on, but why not add more? I've recently added myself to the WAdvent calendar event (twice!) so I should start working on that as well, though it shouldn't be much trouble to spit out some Watson content, I love him so much.
