Finally got to putting Rosin on my new bow, the hair seems a bit slack , but hopefully it doesn't need to be re-haired, I don't have the funds for it right now. Hands are cramping now though, my fingers greatly protest my counted use of the violin. At least with the Russian hold there isn't as much strain on my pinkie, god bless the folks out there using the Franco-Belgian hold, don't know how they cope.
Checked-in my zine piece yesterday, so a round of applause to myself for meeting that dead-line, here's to hoping I can finish the full piece by the 30th. I'm using paint tool sai for it, which isn't my preferred program to draw in, but it's where I started it months ago and I don't want to deal with converting it for Clip Paint Studio.
Haven't written all day, been feeling very down about creating much of anything lately. Figuring out stuff for my SSI case has been rather taxing on me as a person and not great for my depression, still have like 6 to 8 months of stuff to do and I haven't even shown up in court yet, so it's only going to get more and more tiresome I imagine. November is always my least favorite month and the SSI case is doing it no favors.
I've been consoling myself with re-watching Granada Holmes though, it's a small comfort, but it's what has been keeping me running the past few days as well as occasionally motivating me to write. I also recently re-watched The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes and honestly even though it's only been a week, I might just re-watch it again sometime this week, I've just really been in one of those moods, you know.

I understand the mood - Granada Holmes is comforting and TPLOSH is good fun for the spirits with that undercurrent of longing throughout.

Date: 21 Nov 2019 22:32 (UTC)Thank you, I need all the luck I can get. Hopefully, by May of next year it'll be all settled.
And yes, absolutely, Granada and TPLoSH are really the comfort foods of Holmesian content, for me. Sometimes you just have to drown out all the woe in life with the sort of fairy tale like wonderment of them.

I watched Granada today and it was cheering while ironing (The Naval Treaty)!
